Shanna O’Hea, co-owner of the Kennebunk Inn and Academe Restaurant, recently competed in Harvest on the Harbor’s Lobster Chef of the Year contest in Portland. O’Hea was selected as a finalist by the Maine Lobster Promotional Council for her Lobster Lo’Maine dish. Though O’Hea did not win the title, she was awarded $500. She prepared some 200 sample sized portions for the events’ attendees, as well as four plate-size entrees for judges and photographers. O’Hea, the only female competitor this year, competed alongside three other Maine chefs. O’Hea has been co-owner of the inn and restaurant with her husband, Brian O’Hea, for 10 years. Chris Long of Natalie’s in Camden won first prize with his dish butter poached Maine lobster. (Ted Axelrod courtesy photos) 1p2.jpg
