Chef Showdown at Atria

The culinary department at Atria Kennebunk challenged executive chefs from Maine restaurants to a cooking competition as part of Atria Senior Living’s annual Chef Showdown. The Chef Showdown takes place at more than 200 Atria communities across the U.S. and Canada. All recipes were required to include tomatoes. Atria Kennebunk’s Chef Showdown event featured members from the community on the judging panel, including the chief of Kennebunk’s fire department, lieutenant from Kennebunk’s police department, a reporter and one of Atria’s resident ambassadors. The winning dish was a buttered brie and Heirloom tomato toast with honey, thyme and toasted walnuts and was awarded to Melissa Bouchard, left, from DiMillo’s Floating Restaurant.
