Concert, ice cream social planned

On Saturday, July 7, Christ Church in Kennebunk will present a concert of patriotic music along with a make-your-own ice cream sundae bar featuring locally-made ice cream from Shain’s of Maine.

The concert begins at 3:00 p.m.

Christ Church Music Director Maestro Warren King has gathered musicians and singers in the area to perform a varied program of patriotic music, with opportunities to sing along.

The songs will include old favorites as well as some less well known researched by the maestro.

Performing with the maestro will be piccolo virtuoso Diana McNulty, professional reeds musician Jack Kupp, and highly regarded vocalists Alex Pratt and Owen and Schuyler White, as well as three generations of Christ Church family and members of Seaglass Chorale Beverly Heald, her daughter Jennifer Heald-Clapp and her daughter Kayla Clapp.

Proceeds will benefit the missions of Christ Church, supporting the homeless, hungry, needy children, battered women, refugees, addiction recovery and disaster relief. Cash or checks only.
