Rock, chalk ... K’port

Nationally renowned chalk artist, Lee Mobley, who works as principal of Satilla Elementary School in Douglas, Georgia, but travels the country during summers and school vacations plying his skills, works on a piece outside the Kennebunkport Village Fire Station on North Street, during the town’s second annual chalk fest celebration, Saturday, June 16. According to Assistant Parks and Recreation Director Breese Reagle, the works, from 12 local artists and four national touring artists like Mobley, will remain in place until eventually washed away by summer rains.
