Bowling for dollars

Participants in a Cops and Kids event at Garden Street Bowl Feb. 11, staged in partnership between the Kennebunk Police Department and the Kennebunk High School Captain’s Club, raised more than $1,000 for two worthy causes. Half of the money will go to the family of Wyatt Sargent, an infant battling a rare form of cancer. Known as “Super Wy,” Wyatt is the son of Kennebunkport Police officer Ashley Sargent. The rest of the money will go to an orphanage in China that was a favored charity of John Daley, a Kennebunk High School teacher who died Jan. 14.
