Donna White

Donna Louise “NeeNee” White, 75, a resident of Brown Street, died Dec. 7, 2016 at Greenwood Center in Sanford after a long illness.

Donna was born in Biddeford on Nov. 21, 1941 a daughter of Frank and Hortense (June) Jordan and graduated from Kennebunk High School the class of 1959.

She was a homemaker for many years and raised three children. She enjoyed playing tennis, golf and spent most of her summer days at Mother’s Beach surrounded by her children and grandchildren. NeeNee, as she was affectionately called by her grandchildren, was best known for being an amazing cook. She will be fondly remembered for handing out an endless supply of her famous whoopie pies to many generations of children as well as adults. Donna spent winters in Hobe Sound, Florida, for many years.

She was predeceased by her longtime companion, William Seyfried, her parents, and six brothers and sisters – Thomas, Reginald, and Norman Arsenault, Doris Godin, Victoria Mycue, and Frances Wells and is survived by two sisters Charlene Green of Jacksonville, Florida, and Carol Johnson of Kennebunk. She is also survived by her children – sons William A. White and his wife Brenda of Arundel and Steven L. White of Sanford, a daughter Sheila White Hannon and her husband Thomas of Duxbury, Massachusetts, daughter-in-law Shawn M. White of North Berwick and six grandchildren Amanda, Julia, Alex, Tucker, Jacob and Teddy.

Memorial visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016 at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St., Kennebunk, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Carolyn Lambert officiating. Private burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kennebunk.
