Candidate has ‘ ... ideas’ to restore fairness

To the editor:

I am enthusiastically endorsing the candidacy of Jonathan “Jay” Kilbourn for State Senate District 34 (Acton, Berwick, Lebanon, North Berwick, Wells and Kennebunk).

Our district needs a new voice in Augusta, someone who has the experience, energy and commitment to work together among people of diverse views.

Jay has worked for many years as an activist for environmental, civic and social causes, such as the Solar Association of Maine, MSAD 41 School Board, and No Place Like Home, which helps aging Mainers live safely and happily in their homes.

He is committed to fair wages for working people, supporting policies to fight the causes of climate change, providing all Mainers with affordable health care and expanding public transit options.

He has the energy and ideas to restore fairness and equity in our democracy, support excellence in public education and develop sustainable solutions to poverty and hunger in our state.

Please join me in casting your vote on Nov. 8 for Jay Kilbourn, a Clean Election candidate and the best candidate to represent us in Senate District 34.
