Candidate exemplifies character and hard work
To the editor:
I am writing in support of clean election candidate Jay Kilbourn for Maine State Senator, District 34 – a district that includes Acton, Berwick, Lebanon, North Berwick, Wells and Kennebunk.
We live in a time when we cannot escape stories of dishonesty, disrespectful treatment of others and greed in our national candidates. It is a breath of fresh air that in southern Maine we have Jay Kilbourn.
He is a man of high integrity who cares about people, jobs and the environment in Maine. He has no hidden agenda to use his senate position as a way to gain power for his own self-enrichment. He is here for us and our wonderful state of Maine. He will bring us together rather than tear us apart.
I have known Jay for 10 years and he works tirelessly for our community and is respected by all who know him. I have personally known Jay to help others, give generously and care what happens to people.
These are the positions I have known Jay to hold:
Past school Board Member MSDA 71 (now RSU 21);
President of the board of trustees at Kennebunk Light and Power (KLPD);
Founding member, Solar Association of Maine;
Board member, Selective Service Board
Trustee (secretary). First Parish Preservation Foundation;
Volunteer in the bipartisan Citizen Climate Lobby — Washington, D.C.;
and volunteer, No Place Like Home — helping aging Mainers to thrive safely and happily in their homes and communities.
Please join me in voting for Jay so he can continue work for – family values, business development, community leadership, job growth, income equality, and a clean environment.
Vote for integrity and hard work – vote for Jay Kilbourn.
