Marjorie Steltzer

Marjorie Jean Steltzer, 86, a resident of Kennebunkport, formerly of Westborough, Massachusetts, died Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, at her home after a brief illness.

She was born in Philadelphia on June 8, 1930, a daughter of David M. and Lillian (Gordon) Pauley and graduated from Germantown High School in Philadelphia. She met her future husband, Edward L. Steltzer, and they raised three sons.

She worked as a bank teller for Home Unity Savings and Loan for 15 years. In 1998, they moved to Kennebunkport.

She was member of the Kennebunk Baptist Church and more recently the Village Baptist Church of Kennebunkport. She loved music, knitting and bible study.

She was predeceased by her parents and a brother William Gordon Pauley.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Edward L. Steltzer of Kennebunkport; three sons, David E. Steltzer and his wife Debbie of West Brookfield, Massachusetts, Paul A. Steltzer and his wife Irene of Sanford, and Gordon L. Steltzer of Kennebunkport; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21 at Bibber Memorial Chapel 67 Summer St., Kennebunk, where a funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. at the chapel with Pastor Joseph Everett officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn, Pennsylvania.
