Therese Cliche

Therese L. Cliche, 92 years, a resident of Arundel, died Monday, June 27, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.

Therese was born in Vallee-Jonction, Quebec, Canada on May 8, 1924, a daughter of George and Eva (Cote) Turcotte. She attended and graduated from Canadian schools.

She married her husband, Val M. Cliche in 1952. She worked as a bookkeeper at Kalil Buick in Biddeford, Brown Pontiac-Olds in Saco and lastly at Walter Reeks Pontiac- Buick and Cadillac in Sanford before she retired in 1998.

Therese enjoyed sewing and knitting and loved spend- ing time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She served as a selectman for the town of Arundel for two terms.

She was predeceased by her husband Val M. Cliche, a brother, Roland Turcotte and two sisters, Rita Turcotte and Georgette Thibodeau.

Survivors include her son, John Cliche of Arundel, and a daughter, Louise Cliche of Woodland Hills, Utah; grandchildren, Jared Cliche, Tregg Cliche, and Amber Emerson; three great-grandchildren, Garrett and Carter Cliche and Spencer Thiboutot.

There are no calling hours. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Private interment will be in Arundel Cemetery, Kennebunkport.
