Louise Durrell

Louise Ann Durrell, 49, a resident of Old Cape Road, died suddenly at her residence May 4, 2016.

Louise was born Dec. 27, 1966 in Saco, the daughter of Ralph and Elsie Mary Blair Lawrence. She grew up in Wells and moved to Kennebunk to live with the loving family of Theresa and Ray Sylvain.

She was a 1984 graduate of Kennebunk High School, and University of New England in Biddeford.

She was an independent insurance agent, representing several lines in the southern Maine area.

She enjoyed walks on the beach, camping, sewing, dancing and spending time with family and friends.

She is predeceased by her father Ralph Lawrence, brother Ralph Lawrence Jr., Grampa Frank Lawrence, whom she dearly loved, and her foster mother, Theresa Sylvain.

Survivors include her husband Philip Durrell, her son Alex Durrell, and her daughter Emileigh Durrell, all of Kennebunkport; two sisters, Tammy Lovejoy of Limerick and Lisa Turner of Buxton; a half-sister, Cheryl Keaton of Auburn; her mother, Elsie Lawrence; foster father Raymond Sylvain, who she called dad; a foster brother Steven Sylvain; four foster sisters Renee Smaha, of Portland, Nicole Tatlock of Florida, Michelle LaChapelle of Ogunquit and Robin Lee Bromley Demers of Massachusetts; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2016, with words of remembrance from the family at 4 p.m., at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St., Kennebunk.
