First-year event at Waterhouse Center a resounding success

To the editor:

The Dec. 20 premiere of Carols on Ice, a new event at the Waterhouse Center in Kennebunk, was enjoyed by generations of area families who came out for a Sunday afternoon of fun, entertainment and festivities.

As event organizers, we would like to take a minute to thank community members for coming out, as well as all the participants, support crew and volunteers who made this event possible.

Thank you to:

North Atlantic Figure Skating Club and coach Deb Coppinger; Middle School of the Kennebunks and choir mistress Karen Matthews; Kennebunk Elementary School chorus led by Sara Dugan; Kennebunk High School Chamber Choir under the direction of Nathaniel Menifield; Warren King Singers directed by Warren King; Katrina Swift, soprano; Plato Skinsacos, sound technician; Video Creations; emcee Brian Beaudette; vendors What a Wrap; Kennebunk Twirlers; and Zamboni drivers, Laurin Brooks, Victor Cavanaugh and Shawn Ingham.

And last but not least, we want to express our appreciation for the Waterhouse Center which has proven time and time again to be a wonderful site for community events.

Thank you.
