Maine illustrators to visit museum

Illustrators Chris Van Dusen, Steve Lavigne and Stephen Costanza will visit the Brick Store Museum this summer. The museum’s summer exhibition, “Visual Storytelling: Celebrating Maine Illustrators,” features more than 15 Maine illustrators.

On Saturday, Aug. 15 at 10 a.m., author/ illustrator Van Dusen will visit for a book reading, question and answer session and book signing. Families are invited to attend for free. On Friday, Aug. 21, comic book artist Lavigne, well-known for his work on the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” will be leading two sessions on character drawing; one at 5 p.m. and one at 6 p.m. Attendance is free and open to all ages.
