Community steps in and helps in time of tragedy

To the editor:

The disastrous fire at 92 York St. (Route 1 south) claimed much more than Kennebunk Village Repair and my business. We offer our deepest sympathy to Casey Pike’s family. I would like to thank the Kennebunk Fire Department for saving both mine and Casey’s computers. They were kind and professional the morning of the fire, sharing their coffee, doughnuts and warm school bus with me.

Post fire, I would like to thank everyone for their support, but a special thank you to Hancock Lumber who thoughtfully offered to receive our deliveries. Just as nicely, Devoe Color Center quickly offered us office space and phones.

Lastly, thanks to the owner of Kennebunk Glass who came over just to talk to me.

All of these businesses will be, or are currently involved in renovations at our new location at 58 Portland Road (Route 1 north) above the Cleaners and Brown Fox Printing (front door).

All About Kitchens will be answering the phones and assisting clients in Kennebunk again soon. In the meantime, all of our phone numbers still work and now forward to our larger store in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.
