Doctor in the house?

Students from Middle School of the Kennebunks take a moment from rehearsal Monday for the school’s annual winter musical production, “Suessical,” to be presented Jan. 22-24. More than 50 students are in the cast of the complete Broadway show, directed by George Perkins, who has a half-century of local theater experience. “There isn’t anyone in the world who hasn’t read a Dr. Suess book and there are lots of messages in this show,” he said. “We are really very lucky here in the Kennebunks. We have so many really talented kids. But of course, a spatial art like this only exists when there is an audience here to see it.” Showtimes are 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
