Seacoast Garden Club plans Nov. 3 meeting

Seacoast Garden Club invites those interested in learning about the club to its Nov. 3 meeting.

The meeting will feature a presentation by Kerry Ann Mendez, a garden consultant, designer, writer and lecturer. The presentation is titled, “Design Lessons Learned from Magnificent Inspirational Gardens” and will begin at 10 a.m. at the Community House on Temple Street in Kennebunkport. The program will be followed by a light luncheon at 11 a.m.

Mendez is dedicated to teaching the art of low-maintenance perennial gardening and landscaping. She focuses on time-saving gardening techniques and workhorse plant material, as well as organic practices.

She is the author of numerous magazine articles, has appeared on television programs, and authored two gardening books. She has 25 years of experience and is a passionate perennialist who enjoys mixing humor with practical information. Her business is called Perennially Yours.
