KENNEBUNK— Parsons Field has been singled out as the future site for a new skate park in Kennebunk.

The board of selectmen, at their Sept. 23 meeting, voted to conduct further analysis of the site, including a more detailed discussion with abutters.

The future skate park would be an inground, concrete structure approximately 7,000 square feet in size.

In other business, Stephen Bolton, executive director for Habitat for Humanity York County, has requested that the town donate a parcel of land on Cole Road in front of the FAA Omni Station to the organization.

The parcel would be used to house a single-family home. The board of selectmen heard a first reading of the proposal and will vote on the measure at the Oct. 14 meeting.

If the board approves the donation, residents will vote at a special town meeting that will likely include a vote on the mobile vendor ordinance change, said Town Manager Barry Tibbetts.
