Wells Reserve to host Australian birding program

Wells Reserve at Laudholm Farm will host Marie Jordan at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21. Jordan’s presentation is titled “Flavor of Australia: Birds and Meor.”

Experience Australia as Jordan shares her Australian travel and birding experiences in the areas around Cairns, Queensland and the Northern Territory. Her presentation will feature unique birds, including honeyeaters and parrots, as well as kingfishers and kookaburras.

She will also share unique scenery and Aborigine rock paintings in Kakadu National Park and the sound of the didgeridoo.

The evening programs are free and open to all, with no reservations needed. Meetings are held in Mather Auditorium of the Wells Reserve at Laudholm Farm, which is located at 342 Laudholm Farm Road in Wells. A social time begins at 6:30 p.m. with the program scheduled for 7 p.m.
