Candidate would be ‘excellent choice’

To the editor:

The future of Maine depends on its ability to provide a quality education to every student in the state at all levels.

We are a group of active and retired educators, parents and former students who believe Diane Denk is an excellent choice to represent Maine’s House District 9 (Kennebunkport and parts of Kennebunk and Biddeford).

Our advocacy is strictly our own and does not represent that of any university, school or school district.

For 15 years Diane has worked in RSU 21 as a special education teacher, tutor and education technician. She has helped students with every subject from basic reading to trigonometry, grades kindergarten-12. We have always appreciated her 100 percent commitment to her students.

In addition to teaching inside the schools, she also teaches children with serious health impairment or special requirements outside the classroom. She also volunteers to help students with special needs during finals week.

Diane would be a welcomed voice in Augusta and would bring not only the perspective of a committed educator but also that of a former businesswoman with 25 years in the private sector. Her honesty, integrity, and work ethic would benefit all Mainers.

We highly recommend Diane for state representative and encourage you to vote for her on Nov. 4.
