Larks Meeting to feature ‘Harry and Maude ...’ author

Local author, David Morse, will be the guest speaker at the next Larks Meeting to read from his new book, “Harry and Maude Take It On,” 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept .13 at Graves Memorial Library in Kennebunkport.

Morse is a retired physician whose writings have appeared in the Boothbay Register, Animus, Harbor Journal and a children’s book,Julie’s Climb.” His characters, as exemplified in his book, “Harry and Maude Take it On,” depict the foibles and redeeming features found in everyone.

He has moderated writers’ groups in Massachusetts and Maine. He and his wife, Joan, live in Wells, where they enjoy exploring the nearby nature preserves.

The Larks is all about people supporting people. Sessions focus primarily on how to survive living alone, finding available services in the community, being a caregiver facing issues in aging. For more information, call 967-2778. Light refreshments and a book signing will follow the discussion.
