Local author latest in series at Graves Memorial Public Library

Local author, David Morse, will be at the next Larks meeting to read from his new book “Harry and Maude Take It On” Saturday, Sept. 13 at 2 p.m. Morse is a retired physician whose writings have appeared in the Boothbay Register, Animus, the Harbor Journal and a children’s book, “Julie’s Climb. “

His characters, as exemplified in his book, “Harry and Maude Take it On,” depict the foibles and redeeming features found in everyone. He has moderated writers’ groups in Massachusetts and Maine. He and his wife, Joan, live in Wells, where they enjoy exploring the nearby nature preserves.

The Larks is all about people supporting people. Sessions focus primarily on how to survive living alone, finding available services in the community, being a caregiver, facing issues in aging.

The Louis T. Graves Memorial Public Library is located at 18 Maine St., Kennebunkport.

Call the library at 967-2778 for more information. Light refreshments and a book signing will follow the discussion.
