During the 22nd annual Rotary Duck Race, nearly 1,500 plastic ducks were placed in the Kennebunk River. The ducks float with the tide toward the bridge and the winner receives a cash prize. The event takes place during Kennebunkport’s Riverfest celebration. The winner of each of the three heats receives $50 and the overall winner receives $1,000.
