Atria Kennebunk sets event schedule

Tom Snow will give another performance to kick off National Assisted Living Week and Grandparents Day 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept.7 at Atria Kennebunk. Join in for an arrangement of hors d’oeuvres and music.

Dave Hollis will give a performance of piano and song at 2 p.m. Monday Sept. 8 at Atria Kennebunk during a black and white party. Participants are asked to dress in black and white ensembles. Atria will serve fruits dipped in white and dark chocolate.

Dick Coffin will perform his comedy and celebrity impersonations 2 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 9. The show is geared toward families.

Peter Mezoian will entertain with his banjo playing 2 p.m. Saturday Sept. 13.

A Chair Tai Chi hour will be coordinated by Atria’s Engage Life Director, Amber Wilson at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 16. The event is by donation only. All proceeds will go to the Maine Chapter Alzheimer’s Chair, “Remember When.”

Wilson received her Chair Tai Chi certification from the founder of Chair Tai Chi, Patrick Griffith. The class is designed around the overall wellbeing of mind, body and spirit.

Nancy Viehmann, head volunteer coordinator from the Wells Reserve, will give a presentation at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22 called “Getting to Know the Wells Reserve at Laudholm.”

Learn about Maine habitat and get inside information about the weekend happenings of Pumpkinfiddle.

Steve Kelly from the Iris Network will give a presentation 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26. The talk will include information about eye heath and the latest technology that has helped many suffering from low vision impairments. The presentation is in light of Atria’s Active Aging Week, which is centered on older adults taking the steps to become more active.
