Pavilion in progress

Brex Corp. foreman Sven Analetto looks on as Ty Brown fastens caution tape around the site of a water main inlet while Keith Whitney finishes smoothing the area with a roller during construction Friday at the site of the Waterhouse Pavilion on Main Street in downtown Kennebunk. The foundation of what will become a 100-foot by 200-foot, four-season open-air ice-skating rink under a permanent pavilion will be primarily a venue for children’s activities. It will also serve as a community meeting spot for festival events and outdoor farmers markets. Pavilion construction is expected to be complete by September.
