Library to host February vacation programs

Kennebunk Free Library has two special programs for teens and tweens during school vacation week in February. A cosplay workshop offered on Thursday, Feb. 20 at 3:30 p.m. is for students in grades six to 12 who are interested in learning about cosplay.

Cosplay is the art and practice of wearing costumes to portray characters from anime, manga or graphic novels. The presenter, Heather Richards, will show and tell a vast array of handmade costumes and discuss creative and helpful ways of putting costumes together. The workshop also includes information on attending anime conventions such as Port Con and Anime Boston. Preregistration is required by calling 985-2173, ext. 5 or emailing ts@kennebunk.lib.me.us.

On Friday, Feb. 21 the library will offer a program called “What’s inside the Box?” for students in grades six to eight. Find out what’s inside the box with Ralph O’Brien from Customized Computer Design. Open up computers and discover the major components inside and how they relate to each other. Preregistration is required by calling 985-2173, ext. 5 or emailing ts@kennebunk.lib. me.us.
