Graves Library begins annual fund drive

The Louis T. Graves Memorial Public Library annual fund drive is under way. Approximately 40 percent of the library’s operating budget each year is provided by the town of Kennebunkport. The library seeks donations from individuals to help purchase books, regional and national newspapers, magazines, DVDs, reference materials, online subject and job search databases, children and adult programs, and more.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit entity, the library relies on contributions for funding to keep the building accessible to all individuals, offer a variety of materials and events, and common space to meet up with old and new friends, business associates, and to study.

Gifts can be made in the form of cash, check, stock, or credit and will be used for unrestricted (or restricted if requested) use and are 100 percent tax deductible.

The donations help keep all services free for everyone. For more information about the fund drive, call Library Director Mary- Lou Boucouvalas at 967-2778.
