Historical Society to host Heritage Day

The Arundel Historical Society will be hosting a Heritage Day on Sept. 14.

It will be held at the North Chapel Common project site at the corner of Alfred Road(Route 111) and Limerick Road, and at the new site of Kate’s Butter Creamery, also on Alfred Road,from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The purpose and intent of this event is to celebrate Arundel’s past, present ,and future by highlighting what the community has to offer itself and surrounding areas in terms of skills,trades, businesses — as well as a day full of events for the whole family to enjoy.

There will be children’s games and recreational activities,animals on exhibit,agricultural products for sale, antique tools,crafts and skills of historical interest, historical displays of Arundel’s past,information booths/tables of local businesses,etc. It will be a fulfilling and informative day for one and all.If you have historical items or information from Arundel’s past,agricultural products to sell,a skill or craft to demonstrate,a talent to entertain us with,crafts to sell. Help make this a fun,family day. Organizers are encouraged by the early commitment of participants and business sponsors, but could always use more.
