District would benefit by returning rep

To the editor:

Ed Legg recently wrote an article in which he clearly represents the kind of forward thinking we need in the Maine House of Representatives.

In an effort to highlight the importance of advancing research and development efforts as an investment for the future of Maine, Legg refers to the work he championed in the 124th Maine Legislative session, which led to the University of New England receiving a $10 million grant from NIH.

Legg always took his legislative role very seriously. Among his many contributions, he put forth innovative ideas to benefit Maine’s economy and he took a leading role on issues of health care for Mainers.

We believe that it is time to return Legg to Augusta as our representative for District 141. Not only will our district benefit from his contributions, all of Maine will benefit.

We encourage readers to vote for Legg on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 6.
